How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
